Punches & Pre-cut Shapes
- Punches

- You can get a variety of paper punches at your favorite paper craft store. Die-cut punches may be the hand-held type or tabletop type. Look for "power punches" that add leverage to your tabletop punches so that you will not have to press as hard. Use your punched-out shapes on your paper craft projects or make confetti. Try a variety of papers, including sticker paper, to really liven up your crafts!
- Pre-cut or Die-cut shapes
- You can also purchase pre-cut paper shapes to embellish your paper craft projects. This is more costly, but saves time. You can even get your die-cut shapes on the web! There are a number of personal dye cut systems available, many of which have coordinating dyes and embossing templates. Also check local scrapbook stores for custom dye cutting machines. These custom cutters will import graphic designs, set them up for multiple layers, and cut them to order from paper or even sheets of clay. There are even personal versions available for several hundred dollars--if you have a lot of custom cut-work words or images this might be a good investment.
