This card assembles quickly and requires only basic supplies and skills. The sample is a birthday card, but any greeting or sports theme may be used. Click the image above for a closer view.

Lay down scrap paper to protect the work surface. Practice the direct-to-paper technique using the cat's eyes on a piece of scrap paper. Use a light, curved sweeping motion at random intervals. After practicing, use the Orange cat's eye pigment pad directly on the cream card stock. Repeat using the Roussillon and Turquoise cat's eyes.

Randomly stamp the mini football image onto the front of the card stock using the Terra Cotta pigment pad. Stamp the mini football onto the envelope.

Clean the rubberstamp. Open the stamp cleaner and tap it onto the entire rubber stamp. Blot the stamp on a paper towel, removing the pigment. Repeat until the stamp no longer leaves pigment on the paper towel. Use the paint pad to dry the stamp. Tap the stamp cleaner bottle tip onto a paper towel to blot off any excess pigment or dye. These cleaning instructions are repeated throughout projects at Paper Crafts 101. Keeping the stamps clean will lenghten the stamp's life.
Using the Terra Cotta cat's eye pigment pad, edge a piece of scrap paper. Hold the paper in one hand and the cat's eye in the other and sweep against the edge of the paper at about a 45-degree angle. When comfortable with this technique, use the Terra Cotta cat's eye to edge the 5" x 3 3/4" background paper. Flip the background paper over and apply double-stick tape.

Affix the background paper to the front of the card, being careful to center it. Put the sports sticker in the center of the background paper (if using fibres, lay the fibre down on the background paper first and then place the sticker on top of fibres).

Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on the inside of the card.
Remember to clean the stamp!
